EQUINE TRANSPORTATION ACCEPTANCE COMPANY, LLC (ETAC) CUSTOMER INFORMATION PRIVACY NOTICE

We, our, and us, when used in this notice, means Equine Transportation Acceptance Company, LLC (ETAC). “You” and “your,” as used in this notice, means our consumer customers who establish a continuing relationship with us by purchasing or holding financial products or services such as loan accounts, insurance products or services, and optional loan products.

This Customer Information Privacy Notice explains how we collect and disclose customer information you provide to us when you apply for or obtain financial products or services from us or any of our affiliates.

Customer Information We Collect. We collect information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as your name, address, social security number, assets, income, mortgage, and employment;
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others, such as information about your balances and payment history;
  • Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency, such as your creditworthiness or credit history; and
  • Information we receive as a result of verifying customer identification.

 

Customer Information We Disclose. We do not disclose any of the customer information described above, with regard to customers or former customers, except as permitted or required by law. Pursuant to these legal exceptions, we may disclose information we collect about customers and former customers:

  • To our affiliates. An affiliate is a company that controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with us.
  • To companies that perform marketing services on our behalf.
  • To other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing arrangements.
  • To consumer reporting agencies.
  • For fraud, security or risk control.
  • To resolve disputes or inquiries you may have about your accounts.
  • When disclosure is required by law, such as pursuant to court order, subpoena, legal process, or governmental agency examination or investigation, or to protect or enforce our rights.
